We are proud to present Nobian’s fourth Sustainability Report, showcasing our significant progress in reaching our sustainability targets and reaffirming our commitment to leading the way in sustainable chemical production. 

This year’s report highlights the milestones we have achieved in 2024, demonstrating our dedication to a greener future:

• CO₂ emissions reduction: We are ahead of our 2025 climate targets, achieving a 50% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions compared to 2020, and a 57% share of renewable energy, ahead of our 2025 targets.  
• Tailor-made agreement: We signed a landmark agreement with the Dutch government to reduce Scope 1 CO₂ emissions in the Netherlands to near-zero by 2030, ten years ahead of schedule.  
• SBTi approval: The Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) approved our emissions reduction targets, validating our ambitious net-zero goal.  
• EcoVadis Platinum rating: Nobian was awarded an EcoVadis Platinum rating for the third consecutive year, recognizing our outstanding sustainability performance.  
• Low-carbon products: We expanded our portfolio of certified low-carbon products, all of which have their carbon footprints substantiated with independently verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). Several EPDs have been completed, with more to follow in 2025.
• Various sustainability projects: We are widely engaged in sustainability through projects such as the electrolyzer recycling project with Asai Kasai, the agreement with Adven on caustic evaporation, patents and subsidy support for battery projects, and various community engagement activities.

Nobian’s sustainability results align with our ambitious program, Grow Greener Together. At Nobian, we envision a world where chemistry is entirely green and responsible.
